Copying and Moving Data

Sage Line 50 also provides extra tools to help you work with data. These are found on the Edit menu but can also be activated via short cut keys. The Edit menu includes the Cut, Copy and Paste options to help you repeat or edit data already entered into Sage Line 50. For example, if you are creating an invoice you can use these options to copy data from one text box to another.

The Delete and Insert Row options are available when you are working in data entry tables. For example, in the Customer Batch Invoices tab use these options to move rows within the data entry table.

If you create specific invoices, credit notes, journal entries, purchase orders or sales orders regularly, you can save each of these as a 'skeleton' which you can re-create quickly and easily. Use the Memorise and Recall options to save and reuse details as a skeleton.

If an option is 'greyed' out, then it is not available for use at the present time.

You can use the following options to copy and move data:

Cut

Delete Row

Copy

Duplicate Cell

Paste

Memorise

Insert Row

Recall
